Buying a digital cricket scoreboard involves more than comparing prices.
Before choosing one, consider several practical questions.
1. What Information Must Be Displayed?
Decide whether you need Runs, Wickets and Overs only or whether Target should also remain visible.
2. How Large Should It Be?
Our portable models range from 32 × 32 cm compact scoreboards to 64 × 64 cm configurations.
The appropriate size depends partly on viewing distance and the amount of information displayed.
3. Separate or Rotating Displays?
Separate displays keep information continuously visible.
Rotating displays show several values sequentially and can make the scoreboard smaller.
4. How Will You Operate It?
Our scoreboards support dedicated remote operation with up to approximately 500 metres of open-field range.
Browser-based phone control is also available.
5. How Portable Does It Need to Be?
Models range from approximately 1 kg to 5 kg.
If you regularly move between grounds, size and weight deserve serious consideration.
6. Understand Weather Protection
Outdoor LED displays do not mean that the complete electronic scoreboard is waterproof.
The PETG enclosure requires ventilation and is not waterproof. Protect the scoreboard and internal electronics from rain, water and moisture.
7. Plan the Power Supply
A suitable power supply is required but is not supplied with these scoreboards.
Customers should obtain an appropriate power supply for their installation and ensure electrical equipment and cables are safely protected.
Taking these factors into account before purchasing can help a club choose a scoreboard based on how it will actually be used rather than simply choosing the largest available model.
